Subtraction of Decimal:

  • Write down the two decimals, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.
  • Make the decimal numbers as like decimals.
  • Then subtract normally, remembering to put the decimal point in the answer.
  • Example: Subtract 0.03 from 1.1

    Solution: Make the decimals as like decimals: 1.1 becomes 1.10
